Class-Based Loadouts
Pick your class, load your T-Doll, survive the ELIDs.
Class-Based Loadouts in Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium are a modular character customization system that let you define your T-Doll's role and gear before diving into the contaminated zone. Featured in the turn-based tactical strategy game developed by MICA Team, this mechanic lets you pick from four archetypes: Sentinel, Bulwark, Support, or Vanguard—each packing unique active skills, passive abilities, and ultimate skills that consume confectance index. Your loadout governs everything from starting weapons and attachments to neural helix enhancements, directly shaping your tactical approach in every grid-based firefight.

Lore & Background
In the radioactive sprawl of the contaminated zone ten years after the events of Girls' Frontline, class-based loadouts grew out of cold necessity: missions are high-stakes, and a team of generalists is a team of scrap. Each archetype carves a brutal niche in the battlefield—Sentinels deal primary damage with high DPS, Bulwarks tank with high survivability and defensive abilities, Supports heal and buff, and Vanguards act in a sub-DPS capacity with high mobility. This system echoes the T-Dolls' fire-control cores, where a loadout is their lifeline in a world of Varjager bandits, Paradeus cultists, and Collapse radiation storms.
In Their Own Story
The Commander stared at the loadout screen, their fingers hovering over the Sentinel preset. The mission was a cargo delivery job issued by BRIEF—close quarters, hostile ELIDs. They punched the selection: a standard attack and passive skill locked in, active skills consuming confectance index, an ultimate skill ready on cooldown. 'Support's got the heals, Bulwark covers the front,' they muttered. 'I'll be the damage.' The screen flashed green, and the T-Doll's neural helix sang to life as the team descended into the neon-lit ruins.
Reader's Guide
Class-Based Loadouts are defined by the four T-Doll classes: Sentinel (primary damage dealing units with high DPS), Bulwark (tanking units with high survivability and defensive abilities), Support (units with healing and buffing abilities), and Vanguard (units with high mobility that act in a sub-DPS capacity). Each T-Doll has a standard attack, a passive skill, active skills that often consume confectance index (a resource akin to ability points that replenishes over time or can be restored using certain active skills), and an ultimate skill that typically costs confectance as well. You can enhance combat ability by increasing training level, altering weapon and attachment loadouts, fortifying the T-Doll using duplicates obtained via the gacha system, unlocking enhancement nodes on each T-Doll's neural helix, and equipping keys which provide modifiers to abilities or stats. Standard rarity T-Dolls can also be upgraded to elite rarity after collecting the required upgrade materials, providing additional attribute boosts and granting new combat skills. The system matters because it dictates your tactical role in combat: a team without a Bulwark might get shredded in a firefight, while missing a Support leaves you without healing. Loadouts also ripple into environmental interactions—hazard tiles, interactable levers, and elemental tile effects introduced in the Chiral Redundancy major update can be stacked together for additional status effects. The mechanic begs for replayability: each class turns the same mission into a different kind of run.
